Final Exam Review Day 1

ANNOUNCEMENTS:  FINAL EXAM ON FRIDAY.... YOU HAVE ACCESS TO EVERY QUESTION EITHER THROUGH YOUR STUDY GUIDE OR THE STUDY ISLAND ASSIGNMENT!!!!!
We started through our Final Exam/ Module B review packet as well as through some sample study island questions.  Here were the notes I mentioned regarding the eligible content questions in the packet:

Ecology Wrap Up/ Daily Question Quiz

REMINDERS:
FINAL EXAM ON FRIDAY..... YOU RECIEVED A STUDY GUIDE TODAY AND YOU HAVE THE STUDYISLAND ASSIGNMENT ONLINE TO HELP YOU PREPARE!!!!!
We started the class off with the daily question quiz which went through ecology and sample module B questions.

With the following advice and encouragement ;-)



You then picked up the ecology wrap up questions and the Module B/Final Exam review.
You were to turn in #1.  Your ecology folder (with the following content inside) which is worth 39 points

AND the Ecology wrap up questions. (which is worth 43 points)

I encourage you to start looking over the Keystone module B/ final exam review packet NOW instead of waiting until Friday!!!!

Finish up Ecology Anchors

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Tomorrow:  Daily Question Quiz and then a wrap up of Ecology - Your ecology folders will be turned in at that time.
 

First shot at the Final Exam will be on FRIDAY!!!  We have been "reviewing" for the past couple weeks - there is also a review available to you on Study Island:

We finished up the final Ecology Sample Keystone Question today as our Daily question:
We then proceeded through the next three Directed readings (Energy flow in an ecosystem, Interactions in Communities, Cycling of Matter)

Friday April 25th - Keystone Module B Daily Questions and class work time

Friday April 25th
We went through the first 6 questions of a sample module B keystone exam.  Here were the questions and notes.


The rest of the period was spent finishing the Energy Flow in Ecosystems and Cycling of Matter Directed readings.

Ecology Review Day 2

We started back in our Keystone Eligible content packets with the following daily questions.
The nitrogen cycle is probably the cycle students are most likely to forget.  We watched the following crash course as a review of the nitrogen cycle and a large chunk of today's book work is detailing these different cycles

Ecology Review Day 1

The Ecology content on the Keystone Exam was taught to you in 8th grade Environmental Science. We are going to do a review of these concepts over the next couple days to refresh your memory.  I am VERY impressed with how much you are remembering!!  We will be working through the Keystone Questions and Directed readings.  Today we started with the following Daily Questions Directly from the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

After this discussion we moved to the section of the book that went through a couple of these and went through a directed reading activity using the following parts of the book.

Evolution Wrap Up and Daily Question Quiz

We started with three daily questions that wrapped up our discussion on the mechanisms of evolution and the evidence of evolution.


The rest of the period was spent taking our Daily Question Quiz from this week and last weeks daily Qs.

Evidence for Evolution

Thursday we started with the daily questions above and then completed our Open Notes quiz on the types evolution. 

Today the daily questions and notes focused on the evidence we have for evolution.  TOMORROW will be the daily question quiz from last week.  The rest of the week we will be focusing on Ecology.
