Chromosome models
understanding a diploid cell:
Mitosis models
Using the models we noted what a diploid cell was. Diploid means there are TWO of every chromosome (one from mom and one from dad). Pairs of chromosomes are known as homologous chromosomes.
Mitosis models
Prophase: chromosomes condense and become visible
Metaphase: chromosomes line up at the equator (Metaphase/MIDDLE)
Anaphase: sister chromatids begin to pull apart (Anaphase / APART)
Finally in telophase we have two identical nuclei
