Wednesday October 12th - Glucose Models and Intro to Lipids

Wednesday Daily Questions:

After the DQs we BUILT a Glucose Model:

We first created the "Ring" structure composed of 5 carbons and one oxygen

Next we "Hydrated: each carbon by adding a Hydrogen and a Hydroxide (OH) to each carbon

Finally we built our functional group

And then placed that into our last Carbon!!

We then took down a LITTLE bit of notes about Lipids - but I will save that for when we go into lipids in more detail!!
